Set up a profile that represents your business clearly

A customer needs to understand what you do, whether you serve their area, and how to contact or visit you. A complete Google Business Profile setup in Thailand should make those answers easy to find, whether the profile is new or already exists.

CTB Digital Marketing Co., Ltd. can help you create or improve a profile that reflects the business you run. We start with your business details and any existing listing history, then agree the setup work needed.

Scope and inclusions

What the setup covers. Checking for an existing profile and who controls it; the business name against Google's representation guidelines; categories and the business description; contact links, hours and relevant services; category mapping and service-area configuration; verification preparation and coordination; and a handover recording what was submitted and who keeps it current.

Out of scope. We cannot promise an instant listing or a specific verification method, because Google decides which options are available. Website building is a separate service line. Ongoing updates after the handover are covered by monthly management, not by this project.

Check for an existing profile

Before creating anything, check whether the business already has a profile and who controls it. Bring the website, the customer-facing name, location details, and a description of how customers use the business.

Google's guidelines cover eligibility, real-world representation, categories, and address or service-area information. They also restrict repeated bilingual names and script transliterations. For a Thai and English business, review the actual name against that guidance rather than assuming every translated version belongs in the name field. See Google's representation guidelines.

Prepare the information customers need

We can discuss categories, the business description, contact links, hours and relevant services. We also need to know who supplies current photos and who keeps the information up to date. In our open-source gbp-lms-saas training template, we outline a step-by-step onboarding structure so basic listing details are confirmed before publishing.

If you have several locations, record the differences between branches. A customer should not have to call one branch to find out when another is open.

Where Thai and English content is needed, check both versions against the same business facts. A change of language should not introduce extra services or a different promise.

Configure categories and service area

Category choice and service-area configuration are where "geo-optimisation" actually happens. Map the primary and additional categories to what the business does, and set the service area to match where you genuinely serve customers. A longer area list does not widen your rankings; it just makes the profile less accurate.

Plan for verification

Google determines which verification options are available for the profile. Check what it requests and who at the business can provide the required access or evidence. The project allows for your involvement; an instant listing cannot be promised.

To confirm completion, check the profile itself. Filling in a form does not establish that the setup is complete.

Where we work

CTB works with businesses in Bangkok, Samut Prakan, Phuket and Pattaya City. Setup is remote, with the service area configured around where you actually serve customers. Full operating details are on the /services/ hub.

Frequently asked questions

Will adding more areas make us visible everywhere?

No. Describe the areas you genuinely serve. A longer service-area list does not promise wider rankings, and an inaccurate one can work against you. Assess the accuracy of the profile separately from its search visibility, because they are different questions with different fixes.

Can you help with an existing profile?

Yes. Bring its link and explain what needs improving. The initial review establishes whether the work is setup, correction, access coordination, or an ongoing management need, and each of those is scoped and priced differently once we have seen the profile.

Are website changes included?

No, they are agreed separately in the scope. A profile review may reveal inconsistent information on the website, but editing the site is a distinct piece of work with its own owner and should be identified clearly rather than absorbed into the setup.

Can you guarantee the profile ranks after setup?

No. A complete, accurate profile is a foundation, not a ranking guarantee. Where you appear depends on relevance, distance and prominence as Google weighs them, alongside competition in your area, none of which an agency controls.
