An old phone number still appears in a directory. A branch has moved, but another website sends customers to its previous address. Nobody remembers who created the listing. Local citation building and NAP cleanup in Thailand starts with finding those conflicts and confirming what is correct.
CTB Digital Marketing Co., Ltd. can discuss a review and correction plan for the listings that matter to your business.
Talk to CTB about a listing cleanup
Scope and inclusions
What the cleanup covers. A single reference record for each of your locations holding the public name, address, phone number and website destination; a review of the citations customers actually use; a prioritised list of corrections with the listing URL, the problem, the intended correction and who controls the record; and a check that submitted corrections have been published.
Out of scope. This is not a bulk submission service to large numbers of unspecified directories. Third-party approval and removal are outside CTB's control. A submission count is not a ranking promise, and we do not treat it as one.
What NAP cleanup means
NAP stands for name, address and phone number. A citation is a reference to your business on another site or listing service. Cleanup means checking those references and working through the corrections they need.
Customers need to recognise the business and reach the right place. Correct details matter to them before you even consider search performance.
Confirm the correct details for each location
Start with a single reference record for each location. We structure these master records as versioned, plain-text files, an approach demonstrated in our open-source okf-local-seo project, recording the public name, address, phone number and website destination alongside any branch differences.
Thai and English references should preserve the meaning of the approved information. Differences in script or formatting need judgement. They do not automatically mean the listings refer to different businesses, and every listing does not need to match one exact string of text.
A Google profile's naming rules also should not be assumed to prescribe the format of every third-party directory. Each correction needs to fit the actual listing and its requirements.
Prioritise the discrepancies that matter
An outdated number on a listing customers use deserves attention. A directory with no clear relevance may not justify the same effort.
The review records the listing URL, the problem, the intended correction, and who controls the record. That gives you a list of specific corrections to work through. Where the business has moved or changed names, include that history, so an outdated record is not confused with another valid business.
Check whether corrections have been published
Record when a correction is submitted and when the changed information appears. Keep unresolved requests on the record too.
Some sites require account access or have their own review process. Record those requirements before calling the work complete. The handover shows the current state and anything that still needs following up.
Where we work
CTB works with businesses in Bangkok, Samut Prakan, Phuket and Pattaya City. The cleanup focuses on the directories your customers use in the areas you serve. Full operating details are on the /services/ hub.
Frequently asked questions
Will more directory listings guarantee better rankings?
No. Choose relevant listings with accurate information rather than treating a submission count as a ranking promise. A handful of correct, well-matched citations does more for a customer, and for search, than dozens of listings on directories nobody in your market uses.
Can every incorrect listing be removed?
Removal depends on the site and the circumstances. A correction is often the appropriate action, and third-party approval is outside CTB's control. The scope distinguishes requests we can submit from changes that have actually been confirmed as published.
What if we do not have the login?
Record the access problem during the review. The listing provider may have a process for establishing control or requesting a correction. The required steps are assessed for that specific provider, because each directory handles ownership and edits differently.
Is this a one-off project?
A defined cleanup can be scoped as a project. If the business frequently changes locations or contact details, it is worth discussing how future updates will be owned and tracked, so the listings do not drift back out of alignment within a year.
Start with the listing that is causing trouble
Send an example of the incorrect information and the business details it should show. Talk to CTB about the cleanup, and we can discuss which listings to address first.
